Responsibilities:
As the Tax Manager for Asia Pacific, you will coordinate all tax issues and planning for all entities in Asia Pacific, including conceptualization, implementation and monitoring. Other roles and responsibilities include:
- Support HQ in researching and implementing tax positions and where necessary, provide supports in global or regional M&A activities.
- Support and provide guidance to business units and function units.
- Track tax legislation changes in Asia Pacific and optimize tax opportunities for our business models.
- Assist in FAS 109 and FIN 48 analyses and reporting.
- Coordinate the use of outside tax advisors on managing tax projects
- Coordinate various internal reporting including SOX, ETR, FIN 48 and other tax reporting.
- Assist with internal tax processes including supporting countries in internal audits and process improvements where needed.
- Master's Degree Business/Management Preferred
- At least 6 years experience in tax environment (both income and indirect taxes) including substantial experience with a Big Four Firm or reputable MNC; US MNC would be a plus.
- At least 6 years experience in working knowledge in FAS 109 and FIN 48 concepts
- Certified in CPA
- Candidates who meet the following requirements will be given priority consideration.
- A strong international tax background including experience working with tax treaties, withholding taxes and indirect taxes would be preferred.
- Able to translate technical decisions /strategies into business terms and implications.
- A self starter who can work both independently and as part of a team.
