Financial Controller - Asia
Our client, a public listed multinational global leader in mechanical industrial engineering solutions focusing on the industry of energy, is seeking a competent individual to take on the appointment as Financial Controller SEAsia to be located in Singapore.
The position will oversee SEAsia countries in financial reporting with respective in country finance managers reporting into the appointment. The department in Singapore will be supported by two executives and one manager in the capacity of a financial analyst. The general responsibilities cover:
- managing financial operations in SEAsia regional plants and distribution
- ensure compliance and governance are adhered to corporate policies
- resolve issues surrounding tax and other aspects of the in-country financial operations
- render strategic and tactical functions in financial planning and budgeting
- advise financial directions for newly successful tendered government
- projects in SEAsia.
- serve as financial advisory to senior management on viability on projects attained.
- ensure timely monthly closing and consolidation of reports
- provide financial analyst at ongoing basis
- monitor actual performance against budgets
- liaise with authorities , tax agents, bankers, auditors and etc
We envisage the ideal candidate to have no less than ten years in financial management, and preferably coming from a multinational with operations in Asia that includes inventory and or manufacturing management. This role will be best suit a candidate aspiring to take on a controller role from his/her current financial managerial capacity with larger landscape of responsibilities. Leadership as always will be required to lead and mentor the team in the countries where cross cultural work environment is evident. Some travel in every quarter will be necessary. Please note that It is imperative that the candidate's experience should include manufacturing operations past or present.
