Senior Fund Accountant

Your key tasks and responsibilities are:

NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The Employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

• Performing NAV calculation to review stage, including preparation of net asset value statements
• Preparation of financial statements and other required reports on a monthly basis
• Maintaining relationships with investors, investment advisors/managers, banks, brokers and auditors.
• Training of new Fund Accounting staff.
• Review Fund Accountants’ work.
• Preparing year-end file and liaising with auditors.
• Daily/Weekly/Monthly Net Asset Value preparation, which includes:
• Other Ad Hoc Reports as needed.

You will have the following background and competences:

• 3+ years of fund accounting experience in a Hedge Fund Accountant, Hedge Fund Administrator, Mutual Fund or other financial institution where the accountant has gained financial products knowledge;
• Familiar with various methods for the calculation of incentive and management fees;
• Working knowledge of Excel and Word;
• Good communication skills - Discussions with clients, custodians and prime brokers to resolve trading, operational and accounting issues Financial Statement Preparation and Public Accounting experience is a plus;
• BA in Accounting or Finance a MUST;
• CFA Qualification a plus.
