Senior Accountant - Oil Trading - Central
Our client : Oil Trading - An oil major - Central
Position arise due to expansion of business in Asia
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day to day & period-end financial & accounting functions for one of the product lines & ensure correct financial reporting
- Supervise the review of accounting entries, accounts payable, accounts receivables, billings, revenue & asset accounting
- Liaise with traders & operational staff in resolving any accounting discrepancies or issues and to ensure accurate billing & operational reconciliation
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting functions & compliance to accounting standards
- Supervise a team in the preparation of management reports to support business units
- Intercompany reconciliation & billing
Supervise the consolidation of results for submission to finance team in the USA
Preparation of monthly/quarterly internal & external reports
Other ad-hoc duties
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy, CPA an advantage
- 5 - 7 years of accounting experience, of which a few years in an oil trading firm
- Strong communication skills is a must as this person needs to liaise with the traders within a highly fast-paced environment
- Strong in Excel ; knowledge of SUN Accounting system is an advantage
- Supervisory experience in managing a small accounting team is an advantage
