Reporting to the HOD, this position is responsible for leading the team covering all aspects of financial accounting function & maintaining the SunGL to ensure the integrity of the financials.

Responsibilities:
   1. Financial accounting & control

• Lead the monthly financial close on a timely basis.
• Take ownership of SUNGL &ensure daily interfacing from sub-system & balancing are complete.
• Review operating results at month-end close & research variance against trend.
• Perform risk management & control through BS & PL review to ensure compliance with FRS, GAAPs, corporate finance policies and regulatory requirements.
• Vendor processing & opex review & FA assets.
  

2.  Statutory reporting

• Prepare & review of statutory reporting to comply with the FRS & MAS requirements.
• Prepare statutory reporting and filing with MAS and regulatory authorities.
• Liaise with external auditors on statutory audits.
  

3. Tax compliance

• Prepare income tax computation & file local tax returns to ensure compliance.
• Liaise with HO tax department and tax agent on tax matters.
  

4.  Ad hoc project

• Provide accounting guidance in new product & business initiatives.
• Lead FMS Oracle project.
  

Requirements:

• CPA with university degree in Accountancy/Finance or ACCA.
• Min 8-10 year experience in bank or financial institution with exposure to consumer banking, treasury/derivative product accounting.
• Strong competency in FRS & accounting policy & familiar with managing GL system.
• Familiar with local tax requirements & compliance.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with ability to priorities tasks.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills & ability to lead a team.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as work well in regulatory compliance and control environment.
• Strong PC skills in MS Excel, Access, Words and PowerPoint.
• Only Singaporeans or Singapore PRs need apply.
