Senior Accountant Post Date: 15 Aug 09
Responsibilities:
- Perform month end closing including in-depth variance account analysis, preparing, posting and adjusting journal entries.
- Oversee the accounts payable function and monthly billings, GST taxes and GST audits.
- Compute labor and materials revenue by project, prepare related invoices, posting all detailed transactions to GL.
- Preparing and attend to external auditors during the mid-year and year end audits.
- Assist in preparation of annual budgeting exercise, mid year forecast and perform various internal audits in the region.
- Perform special projects relating to internal control reviews, process improvements, etc.
- Upkeep and maintain accounting schedules and bank reconciliation.
- Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, CPA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent
- 5-7 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in Public Accounting firm.
- Familiarity with Solomon Accounting System will be an added advantage.
- Excellent team player with strong analytical, people management and communication skills
