Assistant Accountant

Responsibilities:

Reporting to Financial Controller, you will work closely with the Accountant to ensure timely closure of the financial books during month/quarter/year-end and preparation of the monthly management reports and quarterly GST returns. You will work closely with all relevant parties to ensure that all required accruals and adjustments are made timely for correct reporting. You will work closely with the Shared Service Center to ensure all general ledger journals are processed on a timely basis. Your job also entails the coordination of inter-entity recharging of expenses. You are also required to assist in the preparation of audit schedules for internal/external audits. You will also assist in the completion of internal control checklist on a quarterly basis. You are expected to attend to ad hoc queries/reports as and when needed.

Requirements:

You have either a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related discipline from a recognized institution. You are a meticulous, motivated and proactive individual. You are able to work independently as well as in a team environment. You should have good communication skills and be able to work with both Finance and Operations at regional and global level. Previous working experience in a multinational corporation is desirable. Computer literacy particularly with Excel and working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
