Our client is a leading player in the chemical industry. They are looking for a suitably qualified candidate for the position of Cost Accountant.
Responsibilities :
- This position will be responsible for completing Specific Projects, Sales Orders and Purchase Orders gathering data to analyze the viability of inventory assets. This analysis will include product conversions, customer strategies, cycle count and profitability of inventory asset.
- This position can be accomplished through analysis of profitability, process improvement and Sales analysis at a product level.
- Candidate should be knowledgeable in all aspects of business processes, in order to rationalize current inventory level.
- Create, implement and maintain databases for all aspects of the inventory Asset.
- Gather and distribute statistical data for analysis including dead stock, customer specific items, purchasing data, turns and inventory value for the company.
- Provide overall support for all inventory members.
- Diploma / Degree in Accountancy / Supply Chain Management / Logistics /Material Management or equivalent
- Min 2-3 years relevant experience
- Costing/financial analysis background would be advantageous
- Strong data analytical and leadership skills & able to work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, excellent knowledge of Excel
- Knowledge of SAP is advantageous
- Fluent in English, local language and additional languages are assets
- Mature and pleasant personality, initiative and possess good interpersonal skills
