Assistant Accountant - Financial Accounting
Job scope
Ensure that accounting/financial records are properly maintained and information is correct and delivered on a timely manner to management for strategic decision making
Ensure the accounting records are kept in accordance with Financial Reporting Standards and other statutory requirements.
Assist in the voyage closing for revenue, and review revenue by comparing actual against accrual to ensure completeness, high accuracy, and provide variance explanation (if any)
Assist in reviewing agency submission of financial statements, General Statement of Accounts and/or Corp AR Remittances
Liaise with external auditors for quarterly/year-end audit and tax agent for filing of corporate income tax
Review Detention/demurrage charges submitted in Boxman, Acos, and ARS
Assist in system administrator works
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of related working experience
Degree in Accounting from a recognised University or professional exam graduate / ACCA member is also acceptable
Experience in group consolidation and/or auditing preferred
