Our Client, a European headquartered Multi-National company, is currently looking for a senior candidate to take on the role of :
Senior Finance Manager/ Finance Manager
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that the financial accounts are prepared on schedule and comply with the requirements of the Corporations Law & Accounting Standards.
- Ensures the accurate and timely recording and reporting of operating results and other General Accounting functions for Singapore & Malaysia.
- Leads the preparation and analysis of the financial exhibits (both actual and forecast) on a timely and accurate basis.
- Plan, manage and supervise in preparation of timely reporting of all financial reports, Cash Flow forecasts and budgeting.
- Periodic review of accounting systems and internal controls to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness in compliance with regulatory requirements and group policies.
- Maintains system of internal control. Coordinates the activities for external and internal audits.
- Coordinates the annual budgeting process and prepares budget exhibits.
- Responsible for the supervision of the accounts payable and invoice verification functions of the company
- Responsible for reviewing the accuracy of the inventory (stock in transit) values.
- Responsible for determining the adequacy of the provisioning of doubtful debts and obsolescence.
- Ensures compliance with monthly reconciliation of various asset and liability accounts.
- Manage the company’s cash flow position.
- Prepare Company’s taxation returns, income tax and fringe benefit tax returns if applicable.
- Relevant tertiary accounting qualifications.
- CPA or CA Qualified.
- Microsoft Office computing skills which includes high level MS Excel and MS Access skills.
- Accounting skills equivalent to that of a senior accounting role obtained in a commercial environment.
- Awareness of accounting needs in a multi national environment.
- Familiar with both Singapore and Malaysia accounting system/laws.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently.
