Senior Fund Accountant

Your key tasks and responsibilities are:

NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The Employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

• Performing NAV calculation to review stage, including preparation of net asset value statements
• Preparation of financial statements and other required reports on a monthly basis
• Maintaining relationships with investors, investment advisors/managers, banks, brokers and auditors.
• Training of new Fund Accounting staff.
• Review Fund Accountants’ work.
• Preparing year-end file and liaising with auditors.
• Daily/Weekly/Monthly Net Asset Value preparation, which includes:
• Other Ad Hoc Reports as needed.

You will have the following background and competences:

• 3+ years of fund accounting experience in a Hedge Fund Accountant, Hedge Fund Administrator, Mutual Fund or other financial institution where the accountant has gained financial products knowledge;
• Familiar with various methods for the calculation of incentive and management fees;
• Working knowledge of Excel and Word;
• Good communication skills - Discussions with clients, custodians and prime brokers to resolve trading, operational and accounting issues Financial Statement Preparation and Public Accounting experience is a plus;
• BA in Accounting or Finance a MUST;
• CFA Qualification a plus.

Account Manager

• Daily/Weekly/Monthly Net Asset Value preparation, which includes:
• Cash and Portfolio Reconciliations exposed to futures, forwards, options, fixed income,equities;
• Income and Expense Accruals;
• Daily analysis of traders P&L;
• Daily/Weekly/Monthly Net Asset Value preparation, which includes:
• Cash and Portfolio Reconciliations;
• Income and Expense Accruals;
• Partner/Shareholder Allocation calculations;
• Financial Statement preparation;
• Other Ad Hoc Reports as needed;
• Interact daily with P&L team on valuations and price analysis;
• Interpret confirmation letters from counter parties to set up Derivative instruments in Accounting System.

You will have the following background and competences:

• 5 years experience in managing a team of Fund Accountants, Senior Fund Accountants and Supervisors;
• 7-10 years of fund accounting experience in either a Hedge Fund, Hedge Fund Administrator, Mutual Fund or other financial institution where the accountant has gained financial products knowledge;
• Previous Financial Statement Preparation experience;
• Advanced knowledge in complex Derivatives;
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics a must;
• CFA preferred, CPA a plus;
• Good communication skills;
• Working knowledge of Excel and Word essential.
